BlinkBench

Reaction · Memory · Perception

Your score, and what's actually in it.

10 quick tests — reaction, memory, hearing, colour. Each takes under two minutes and hands you a single number. Then we tell you how much of that number was your screen rather than you, which on a test this short is more than you'd think.

Reaction time · one trial

The panel turns red, then green after a delay you can't predict. Hit it the instant it goes green — click, tap, or press Space.

Your display's refresh rate could not be measured, so the figures above assume a typical 60 Hz panel. Every reading on this site is printed with that band beside it. Why we do that →

Three rules we don't bend

01

You get the real number

Whatever you actually scored, in the unit we measured it in. Nothing smoothed, nothing curved. And if we throw a trial out, we tell you which one and why — rather than quietly dropping it and handing you a nicer average.

02

No made-up percentile

If published research has measured this task properly, we cite it and put the range next to your score. If it hasn't, you get no percentile at all. We won't rank you against this site's own visitors either. We have no idea who they are or what they were using.

03

Nothing stored, nothing sent

No account, no leaderboard, no history. It all runs in your browser and none of it leaves. There's no server to send it to, and we're not building one.

None of this is a cognitive assessment, and none of these scores are purely you. Your gear is in every single reading. More about how this site works →
